About Dutch Tax Calculator
This website provides a free Dutch tax calculator for estimating net salary. Use it for planning, then compare the result with your contract and payslip.
Frequently Asked Questions
How accurate is the tax calculator?
The calculator uses published 2026 rates and tax-credit parameters. It cannot know employer pension deductions, a company car, other income, personal deductions, or every payroll detail. Treat the result as an estimate, not a payslip or tax assessment.
What is the 30% ruling?
The 30% ruling, officially the expat scheme, can let an eligible employer pay up to 30% of remuneration tax-free in 2026. Use the calculator option only when your employer applies a valid decision in payroll; salary thresholds can limit the reimbursement.
Which tax year does the calculator use?
The calculator currently uses 2026 tax rates and brackets. Tax laws change annually, so always verify current rates with the Belastingdienst for the most up-to-date information.
Does the calculator include mortgage-interest relief?
Currently, our calculator focuses on income tax calculations and does not include mortgage interest deductions or other personal deductions. For complex tax situations, consult a tax advisor.
Can I use this for a joint tax return?
Our calculator is designed for individual income calculations. Joint filing with a partner involves different rules and considerations that require professional tax advice.
Are health-insurance premiums included?
No. The mandatory basic health-insurance premium is paid separately and is not deducted by this calculator.
Can I use the calculator on my phone?
Yes. The calculator works on phone, tablet, and desktop screen sizes.
How often is the calculator updated?
Tax-year inputs are updated after official figures are published. Articles show a last-verified date so you can see when a volatile figure was checked.
